I agree wholeheartedly with the exception that I now think they are total dicks and I'll never play there again

Any of you who have played with me in the past know how I play FPS games, especially the BF series ? I will play the role of support or engineer to death regardless of my score ? I?ll go out of my way to cross the map to bring supplies or a med kit to a player or lone sniper even when they aren't in my squad, and I'm always the first one to attempt repairing assets when they get blown up ? it?s just more fun for me that way, even if my score suffers

Anyways, I was playing regularly in this Texas TeamPlayers server (I was drawn to it by their name) and I did my usual thing of regularly creating squads called ?Team Work? which usually draws a crowd and makes for some good games

A few days ago, I was in the top gunner position of a tank that was being driven by one of their clan members and I was getting out to repair every time we got hit as usual ? I was laying mines down because of the other tank we were fighting and the enemy tank hit my mine (FF is off, and mines don?t take out friendly vehicles anyways, so this was obviously an OK thing to do) ? the enemy tank hit the mine when it was almost touching our tank (which I had been repairing for the better part of 10 solid minutes) and it took out our tank too ... I wasn't given a TK for it, and it showed that the other tank driver killed us using his [tank]

All of a sudden I'm kicked for excessive teamkills by ?admin vote?, even though I didn?t have a single TK ? in fact, I was in 4th place when this happened ? I figured it was a mistake so I rejoined and asked what happened and the clan member that had our tank started reaming me out because I supposedly ?lost him his tank and now someone else took it? ? I tried to explain that I had nothing to do with ours getting destroyed and I told him that I couldn?t have possibly destroyed our own tank with my mine, and I even reminded him that he only had that tank for so long because my wrench was working non stop to keep it repaired for him ? he kicked me again, and then BANNED me

I know that occasionally people think of this as more than a game, but this was so asinine and over the top that I took the server off of my favorites list and I don?t plan on ever going back ? as far as I'm concerned, that was the most un-teamlike thing he could have possibly done and just something that I'm not interested in being around

If it was just the one clan member starting crap, I would have chalked it up to a rouge asswipe like most clans have and forgot about the whole thing, but at the time this happened, there were at least 5-6 other Texas Teamplay members in the game and none of them said anything about this ? and those of you who know me also know that I am VERY polite when it comes to things like this and it takes a lot to get me irritated ? I didn?t go off on the guy at any time, he just spazzed out because he lost his tank and took it out on me, and when I came back, he banned me

In their defense, it was a member that I hadn?t seen before, and it was a weekend ? so it was probably a high school buzzed on Mountain Dew, but if that?s it, he shouldn?t have had admin rights to begin with

I have no idea if the ban is lifted now, and I'm not going to find out ? it?s a loss for the server and for myself ? but there are plenty of other decent servers running, so it?s not the end of the world

I was even thinking about going to their website and joining their clan until this BS ? but unfortunately this has turned out to be just like most servers ? I've been thinking since then, and I have no real idea why they even have 'TeamPlayers' in the server name, because I rarely received assistance or support from their members ? the main reason I was drawn to it was because other team-play minded players were also drawn there and it was usually fun times

One thing I have to say ? I played dozens of hours in their server over the past few months and had nothing but great games until this ? my ?Team Work? squad was almost always full, and there were frequently Texas clan members in my squad, so I don?t know what the heck happened, but it was LAME ? when something as stupid and immature as this happens and nobody does a single thing about it, I'm done with them ? just my 2 cents

So ? it IS a decent server to play in, but if you?re going to play in it, I would recommend staying away from the Texas TeamPlayer clan members as much as possible
