Openinging up some features.

I recently updated the fourm software to a latest version which brought along some goodies.

The ones I would like to point out right now to all are, everyone now can post news topic on any of the news boards but those posts will have to go through the newsposters or staff to ensure its news and not crap.  As far as I can tell newsposters and staff dont have to sit in the queue for new posts.

The second one is in your profile, called group membership. Quick Link
You can now request to join a particular group if you want, also leave those groups if you want.  As with the news posts they have to be approved.  I can also see this being a feature that we could use else where but will have to look into it further.

Any other new features that you might see are being tested out right now, like paid subscription.  Thinking we could do something with that to help fund a server perhaps?

OK I went through and redone most of the permissions.

Go heree To look at what groups you can request to join.

Note there is a TPF Member group, this is due to help weed out the drive by sign-upers if we can ever get going again...

If you have rights to more than one group you can also change primary membergroups to reflect what group you show.
